Severe Thunderstorms, Large Hail Possible In SE Wyoming
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has updated its forecast for possible severe weather in southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle.
The update includes the following information:
Key Points: ● Morning showers continue, followed by scattered to numerous strong to severe thunderstorms late this afternoon into the evening.
● Large hail greater than quarter-size and 60+ mph winds possible with the strongest storms.
● Heavy rainfall with localized flooding possible with any training storms over the southern Nebraska panhandle. Strongest Storm Timing: 4 PM to 11 PM.
Quarter to golf-ball-sized hail is possible, as are damaging winds of up to 60 miles per hour. A tornado or two is also possible, although a NWS map shows only about a two percent possibility of a twister each in both Cheyenne and Laramie.
Laramie could also see some snow on Tuesday, according to the latest forecast.
