Southeast Wyoming can expect brutally cold wind chills as low as -30 in some areas tonight, according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.

The agency has issued a cold weather advisory starting at 2 p.m. today and continuing through Thursday morning. The agency posted the following on its website:

Very cold temperatures will stick around through Thursday morning across our area. Wind chill temperatures between -20 and -30 degrees are anticipated for parts of the area this evening into Thursday morning. A Cold Weather Advisory has been issued. Frostbite and hypothermia can set in quickly at these temperatures!
