SE Wyoming Forecast Includes Heavy Mountain Snow, 65 MPH Winds
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says up to 15 inches of snow is possible at higher elevations of southeast Wyoming on Tuesday.
High wind warnings have also been issued for some areas, including the summit between Cheyenne and Laramie, with wind gusts of up to 65 miles per hour possible.
The agency posted the following on its website:
High Wind Warnings remain in effect until 11 AM today for northern Carbon County, Arlington and Bordeaux for west winds of 30 to 45 mph gusting to 65 mph. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Snowy Range until 8 PM tonight for 10 to 15 inches of snowfall, and a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Sierra Madre Range until 8 PM tonight for 5 to 10 inches of snow. A High Wind Watch is in effect from late Tuesday night through Wednesday night for northern Carbon County, Arlington, Bordeaux, the I-80 Summit and foothills for west winds of 30 to 45 mph gusting to 65 mph.
