SE Wyoming Could See Upper 90s, Monsoonal Storms Friday
While temperatures in southeast Wyoming are expected to be a bit cooler on Thursday compared to Wednesday, another blast of summer heat is likely headed our way on Friday.
That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.
That heat wave could combine with some monsoonal storms on Friday afternoon and evening, although forecasters are somewhat uncertain about the storm activity at this point.
The agency posted the following on its website:
Here's a three day forecast for southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle. Slightly cooler Thursday with sunny skies and dry conditions. Monsoonal moisture moves into the area Friday, with afternoon and early evening thunderstorms possible across most areas. It will be hot Friday with afternoon highs near 100 in the Panhandle and low to upper 90s in southeast Wyoming. Monsoonal moisture expected to shift west Saturday, so afternoon storms will be mainly confined to southeast Wyoming. Stay tuned!
