Safe Kids Day Scheduled for May 5th

Safe Kids Laramie County and Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, along with several co-sponsors, are presenting the 15th annual Safe Kids Day May 5th from 10 am until 2pm at the Cheyenne Family YMCA. Stephanie Heitsch, Injury Prevention Coordinator at crmc, says scheduled events include a car seat checkup, which she says is important because roughly 85 to 90 percent of such seats are not properly installed. Other events include sports safety information presentations,  k-9 demonstrations, and appearances  by the Cheyenne Capidolls Roller Derby Team and the Cheyenne Police Department Cavalry Honor Guard.  Heitsch says all of the events are free.
