The National Weather Service Office in Cheyenne has issued the following weather statement for today, April 11, 2018:

"A period of very strong winds is likely for the wind prone areas of southeast Wyoming this morning. Wind gusts to 70 MPH will create dangerous travel for light-weight and high profile vehicles, including camping trailers and RVs, through 1 PM MDT. Widespread gusty winds of 40 to 50 MPH will combine with warm and dry conditions to create a risk of wildfires along and east of Interstate 25 today. Any fires that start could spread very quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended!"
