An 18-year-old Laramie man is facing a felony charge after reportedly causing more than $1,000 worth of damage at a mental health clinic in Cheyenne.

According to a booking sheet, police were called to Cheyenne Regional Behavioral Health Services at 2600 E. 18th St. at about 3:51 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18.

They arrived to find Anthony Reynolds banging on the glass windows of the office outside the patient hallway and attempting to smash them in.

Police say Reynolds -- who had allegedly torn out several drop ceiling tiles, grid supports, and wires -- was armed with supports and was pacing back and forth in the hallway.

Police contacted Reynolds through the office, who reportedly told them that the incident would only end with them shooting him and that he was ready to die.

He then reportedly asked, "Who am I taking with me?"

Police say Reynolds disregarded several commands to drop the supports and to calm down and continued to hit the office windows.

Reynolds was subsequently shot in the left hip with a 40mm less lethal impact round and taken into custody using handcuffing and the WRAP to restrain his arms and legs.

Reynolds was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and medically cleared and was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for felony property destruction and interference with a peace officer.

He made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Friday afternoon, Jan. 19, during which his bond was set at $1,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for next Friday, Jan. 26 at 9:45 a.m.
