28/245AM: Greetings! No rest for us wind weary folk in southeast Wyoming! Another round of strong winds expected for much of the area, with High Wind Warnings in effect through 6 PM this evening. Wind gusts of 65-70 mph can be expected, with strongest winds expected between 10 AM this morning through 3 PM this afternoon. These strong winds will particularly impact travel on area roads for light weight and high profile vehicles, including those towing camper trailers. Keep up to date on road conditions by following wyoroad.info. Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect for the Snowy and Sierra Madre Ranges where another 9-12 inches of snow is likely.

As of 10:46 a.m., Interstate 25 between Wheatland and Douglas was closed to light and high-profile vehicles due to gusting winds.

Both lanes of Interstate 80 between Evanston and Rawlins and the westbound lanes between Rawlins and Laramie are also closed due to winter conditions and crashes.

"These winds are due to an approaching cold front moving into the area from the west," the National Weather Service in Cheyenne said.

"As the front moves through Wednesday, expect snow to develop and become fairly widespread through the afternoon and evening for areas east of the Laramie Range," the NWS added.

The NWS says the snow is expected to end early Thursday morning before another round of strong winds hit Friday.

Drivers are encouraged to call 511 or visit wyoroad.info for the latest road conditions and closure information.
