A crowd of what appeared to be several hundred people gathered at the Wyoming Capitol Building on Saturday for one of a reported 3000 or so ''No Kings" rallies across the United States.

Protestors carried signs calling President Trump a felon and demanding the release of all of the Epstein files. Other signs called the President a dictator and a wanna-be king. Some carried Canadian, Mexican and Ukrainian flags, while other signs showed pro-immigrant sentiments such as "Everyone is An Immigrant."

The crowd appeared to be significantly larger than a similar event held in Cheyenne in October.

At one point, local political activist Joe Ramirez led protestors in a march several blocks up Capitol Avenue. The crowd chanted ''This is what democracy looks like" and "ICE out!"

Wyoming Is Trump Country

Saturday's large crowd notwithstanding, there is little doubt that the protestors don't represent majority opinion in the Cowboy State, which is the deepest red of red electorates across the country

It's worth noting that Donald Trump in three presidential campaigns has recorded huge victory margins in Wyoming. In 2024 he carried the state with just under 72 percent of the vote. Wyoming has not voted for a Democratic presidential candidate since 1964, and is generally considered to be perhaps the most Republican of the 50 states.

But as Saturday's rally showed, even in Wyoming not everyone loves President Trump.
