The Wyoming Capitol Building is open for business today as the investigation into an explosive device found on the Capitol grounds yesterday continues.

The building was closed for several hours on Tuesday as local law enforcement officers and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation combed the area. Bomb experts diffused the device.

Public Input Being Sought For Investigation

The Wyoming Highway Patrol posted the following on their Facebook page:

As this active investigation continues, we are seeking information that will aid investigators. If any suspicious activity was seen or recorded in the early morning hours of October 21st, please contact DCI Wyoming by clicking the link below. There is a section on the front page of their website set up to take tips from the public.
We want to thank the public for their patience and cooperation during this event and our law enforcement partners as we continue this investigation.
The Capitol was evacuated shortly before 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Streets around the Capitol were closed off, and K9s and their handlers could be seen sweeping the Capitol grounds.
The streets reopened in a few hours, but the Capitol itself remained closed the rest of the day.
