No Cheyenne Residential Alley Trash Pick Up Until March 22
The City Of Cheyenne Sanitation Department has announced that there will be no residential alley trash or recycle pick up this week due to the recent winter storm in the area.
City Public Works Director Vicki Nemecek said in a Monday news release that people who don't have their trash picked up this week can leave up to four additional bags of trash by their container next week at no additional charge.
But the bags must contain only household trash and weigh no more than 40 pounds each. Unbagged trash will not be picked up.
Residents also have the option of dropping off up to four bags of household trash not weighing more than 40 pounds each at the Transfer Station on College Drive free of charge.
The release goes on to say:
"No extra collection of recyclables will take place; however, impacted residents may drop off up to four (4) bags of eligible recyclables at the Transfer Station free of charge. Residents will be required to empty and dispose of plastic bags as they are not recyclable.
City residents must bring a current identification or utility bill containing their address to take advantage of free drop off during this time."
