National Weather Service Releases SE Wyoming Rainfall Totals
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has released a map showing rainfall totals for southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle over the last 4-5 weeks.
The agency posted the following on it's website:
We wanted to put this out to give you an idea on how much rain has fallen the past 4-5 weeks across southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle. Rainfall accumulations of 2-3 inches west of the Laramie Range to 7-10 inches in the Panhandle are common. Thanks to the CoCoRaHS observers who report rainfall daily. Your reports aid immensely in determining area drought status and are very much appreciated! You'll notice there are lots of gaps in the map where there are no volunteer observers. Will point out Morrill County, Nebraska, where we have no volunteers presently. If interested in becoming a CoCoRaHS observer, or would like more information on CoCoRaHS, please use the following link to familiarize yourself with the program. https://www.cocorahs.org/
