National Weather Service: Cheyenne, Laramie Face Fire Weather Watch
Cheyenne, Laramie and most of southeast Wyoming are facing a Fire Weather Watch for Thursday [Sept. 12] from noon until 8 p.m.
That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its website:
Weather conditions on Thursday are expected to be favorable for rapid wildfire growth due to low humidity and strong southwest winds. Expect south to southwest winds gusting between 40 and 50 MPH at times. A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for 12PM-8PM Thursday due to these expected conditions. Don't be the spark and avoid any outdoor burning!
