LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Legislators on the Government Efficiency Commission have high praise for the University of Wyoming.

The Laramie Boomerang reports Senate President Drew Perkins, of Casper, says UW is about two to three years ahead the other state agencies in improving its financial operations.

Perkins noted the university’s new finance, administrative, research support and business intelligence reporting system.

UW administrator David Jewell, who oversaw creation of the system called WyoCloud, says it has allowed UW to consolidate more than 7,000 accounts at the university.

UW was one of several state agencies that presented to legislators on efficiency measures it’s undertaken.
