Large Hail, Flash Flooding, Tornado Possible In SE Wyoming Today
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning about the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon.
The agency says that while large hail and damaging winds are the most likely threats, flash flooding caused by heavy rain and tornado or two are not out of the question.
The agency posted the following on it's website:
"Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected this afternoon, and a few will once again have the potential to become strong to severe. The primary threats today are strong winds and large hail, but a tornado and local flash flooding due to heavy rainfall cannot be ruled out. Expect storms to develop in the early afternoon in Wyoming and then move from southwest to northeast, becoming more widespread as the afternoon progresses."
