Pine Bluffs track athlete Jourdaine Cerenil has committed to the Chadron State program as her next stop on the athletic journey, At the 2019 State Meet in Casper, Cerenil took 2nd in 2A in the high jump at 5-2, 3rd in the long jump going 15-10.75 and placed 3rd in the triple jump with a leap of 34-2.25. She also ran in the Hornets state championship 4x100 relay team and earned all-state designation. In 2018 at the State Meet, Cerenil 8th in the triple jump and 11th in the high jump.

Cerenil also competed for Cheyenne Central in indoor track and placed 4th in the high jump at the state meet and 16th in the triple jump. Plus, she had a chance to compete in the prestigious Simplot Games in Idaho and made the finals of the high jump.
