
UPDATE: Interstates 80 And 25 In Southeast Are Open, Blowing Snow Reported
UPDATE 9:30 a.m. :Interstates 80 and 25 are now open, albeit with blowing snow and slick conditions being reported.
As of 8 a.m. the westbound lane of Interstate 80 was closed between Cheyenne and Laramie due to winter weather conditions and crashes.
That's according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation [WYDOT] road conditions website. The listing said that as of 4:30 a.m., the estimated opening time was 6-8 hours.
The eastbound lane of Interstate 80 was open between Laramie and the Nebraska state line. But it was slick in spots with areas of black ice.
Interstate 25 Is Open, But Travel Conditions Are Not Good
Interstate 25 in southeast Wyoming was open between the Colorado state line and Douglas. But it is slick in spots with strong winds. There were also areas of black ice, and no unnecessary travel was advised in the Glendo and Wheatland areas.
