High Wind Warning Issued For Southeast Wyoming
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for southeast Wyoming starting at 5 p.m. Friday and running into Saturday morning.
The weather service posted this statement on its website on Friday morning:
''A High Wind Warning is in effect from 5 PM MST Friday evening to 8 AM MST Saturday morning for the wind prone areas of southeast Wyoming. West to southwest winds will be sustained at 35-45 mph and gusting up to 65 mph. Impacts will be mainly for transportation with strong crosswinds creating dangerous travel conditions for lightweight and high profile vehicles and that does include camper trailers. Stay informed and plan your travel accordingly."
