During a ceremony Tuesday,  Governor Matt Mead declared March 15th  Wyoming Agriculture Day. The governor says it is appropriate to recognize the contributions farmer's and ranchers make to Wyoming's economy. He says agriculture producers have an estimated annual economic impact of  over $1 billion dollars and provide an estimated 17,000 jobs in Wyoming. The Governor also says Wyoming Ag producers are good stewards of the land. He says they conserve our soil and preserve open spaces and scenic vistas and provide wildlife habitat.
