Since 1882, people in Cheyenne have actively worked to increase the number of trees that we enjoy today. But our tree population is aging and in need of replenishment.

Now Cheyenne low-income residents can get help in getting trees for their property, thanks to donors and sponsors through Rooted in Cheyenne and Cheyenne Rotary Noon.

See if you qualify for a no-cost tree online or with a call to 307-637-6428. Applications are due by March 15 or until trees are spoken for, whichever comes first.

You must own the property where the tree is to be planted, have room within or adjoining the street right-of-way and meet income guidelines.

Trees will be planted on Saturday, May 19, 2018, by community volunteers, green industry crew leaders, and Cheyenne Urban Forestry staff.

A great resource for all Cheyenne residents is through Cheyenne Urban Forestry.
