CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The firm handling communications for the Wyoming Capitol's $292 million renovation will be paid less than $200,000 for work that runs through 2018.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports the state agreed to pay Rachel Girt and her Cheyenne-based firm no more than $199,050 to keep the public informed of the project's progress.

Maureen Bader with the Wyoming Liberty Group said this just makes an expensive project even more costly.

Girt says she'll be updating the project website, reaching out to the community through social media and holding public meetings so residents can stay current on project developments.
