A crowd that appeared to number roughly around 350  people or so rallied against the Trump administration in front of the Wyoming Capitol Building on Saturday in conjunction with similar events across the country.

The events were billed as the "Hands Off" rallies.

Trump Got 71 Percent Support In Wyoming In 2024

It's worth noting that Wyoming was Donald Trump's best state in the 2024 election, with 71 percent of the vote going to him. The Cowboy State in general is ruby red. It hasn't voted for a Democrat in a presidential election since 1964 and isn't likely to do so anytime soon.

Even so, support for the president is far from unanimous, according to those gathered at the Capitol Building on Saturday.

Joe Ramirez of Cheyenne, who addressed the gathering with a bullhorn and seemed to be the de facto leader of the event, said he wasn't surprised at the turnout "because 69,000 people did not vote for Trump" in Wyoming.14,000 in Laramie County. So I am not surprised."

Ramirez: Protect The Constitution

When asked what motivated the crowd, he said "Protect our bodies. Protect our constitution. Protect our bill of rights. That is what we are pissed about." Many in the crowd carried signs saying ''Hands Off Our Bodies" and expressing support for veterans programs and other federal programs

He went on to say that Trump opponents are planning town halls and other events in coming weeks in Cheyenne.

Over 1,200 similar rallies were held across the country on Saturday, according to the Associated Press.
