An eight-run fourth inning carried the Evanston Outlaws past the Rock Springs Stallions at the 2021 Wyoming Legion Baseball ‘AA’ State Tournament in Laramie on Tuesday.

Evanston scored in each of their four at-bats. They led 5-0 before their big inning.

Four Outlaws had two hits apiece paced by Clayton Moyles who had two hits, which included a triple and four RBI’s. Derek MacDonald added two hits and drove in two runs.

Evanston’s Ashton Eldredge went four innings on the mound for the victory. He allowed three hits with one walk and five strikeouts. Caleb Gooding pitched the final inning.

Sam Wheeler led the Stallions with two hits, but Rock Springs committed six errors in the field.

The Outlaws advance to Day 3 on Wednesday to play the loser of Laramie-Gillette at 4 p.m.

Rock Springs’ season is done. They finish their season at 13-44.
