CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A new report shows that many people who enter Laramie County's Drug and DUI Court are not returning, saving the county time and money.

The report, released Thursday, found that 65.2 percent of Drug Court graduates and 72.7 percent of DUI Court graduates in the past three years have not been arrested for new crimes.

The report did find that the rehabilitation programs associated with the courts have had a hard time retaining participants, with the retention rate for Laramie County's Drug Court currently at 51 percent and the DUI Court retention rate at 62.2 percent.

The report analyzed 23 people who enrolled in Drug Court and 44 people who enrolled in DUI Court between July 1, 2012, and July 1, 2015.
