Cheyenne Man Arrested for Strangling His Girlfriend
A 20-year-old Cheyenne man is behind bars after allegedly strangling his girlfriend.
According to a booking sheet, police were called to a domestic disturbance at 1515 Taft Ave. (Cheyenne Station Apartments) around 10:06 p.m. on Monday, March 4, and contacted Dustin Grandon and his girlfriend in the parking lot.
Police Say Both Parties Had Injuries
Police say Grandon had a broken nose and his girlfriend had multiple injuries consistent with a physical domestic violence incident, however, the only injuries that could be tied directly to Grandon were marks on her neck indicating that she had been strangled.
Grandon was arrested at the scene and taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, where he was cleared for jail.
He was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on a single count of strangulation of a household member, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
As of late Tuesday morning, Grandon had yet to be formally charged.
He's scheduled to make his initial appearance before Laramie County Circuit Court Judge Antoinette Williams tomorrow, March 6, at 10:15 a.m.
