
Cheyenne Man Wanted for Felony Forgery Arrested at Walmart
A 42-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly committing forgery.
Fugitive Spotted at Walmart
According to a booking sheet, police were called to the Walmart at 580 Livingston Ave. around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, after Christopher Alonzo Montoya, a wanted person, was spotted at the store.

Felony Warrant
Police say Montoya had an active warrant out of Laramie County for felony forgery, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Circuit Court Judge Sean C. Chambers signed the warrant on Jan. 15, 2025.
Montoya was contacted in the parking lot, taken into custody, searched for weapons, and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked on his warrant.
Bond Set at $3K Cash or Surety
On Thursday, March 13, Montoya was seen in Circuit Court on the charge.
His bond was set at $3,000 cash or surety, and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, at 3 p.m.
