Alleged Knife Threat at Cheyenne Park Leads to Man’s Arrest
A 27-year-old transient is facing a felony charge after allegedly threatening another person with a knife at a Cheyenne park.
According to a booking sheet, Erik M. Pulley was arrested at Martin Luther King Jr. Park at 12:41 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, after police were dispatched to the park for a report of an assault with a knife and found Pulley with a large pointed tool in his possession.
Police say Pulley had a very dry mouth with white saliva surrounding the corners of his mouth.
Police say he was also displaying extreme paranoia of citizens in the area, sweating profusely in approximately 60-degree weather, and had uncontrollable body movements.
Pulley was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on charges of public intoxication, a misdemeanor, and aggravated assault and battery - threatens to use a drawn deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
