Sex Offender on Laramie County’s ‘Most Wanted’ List Captured
Another fugitive on the Laramie County Sheriff's Office's "Most Wanted" list has been captured.
According to a booking sheet, 47-year-old Cheyenne transient Carlos Benjamin Garcia was arrested at 3333 Sparks Rd. at 3:54 p.m. on Wednesday after police were dispatched to the location for a report of a wanted person.
Police say Garcia had a felony warrant for failure to register as a sex offender, which was signed by Laramie County Circuit Court Judge Antoinette Williams on March 19, 2024.
Garcia was seen in Circuit Court Thursday afternoon, during which his bond was set at $1,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Monday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m.
"Thank you CPD for capturing one of our most wanted," the Sheriff's Office in a Facebook post on Friday afternoon said.

Antonio Oros-Garfia, who was added to the list on Jan. 19, 2024.

Jessey Smith, who was added to the list on Aug. 29, 2024.
And Marvell Evans and Ernest Jaramillo, who were added to the list on Sept. 11, 2024.
