A 46-year-old Cheyenne man accused of aggravated assault has bonded out of jail just one day after being arrested on a felony warrant.

High-Risk Traffic Stop

According to a booking sheet, Lucas Ian Meadows was pulled over at about 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, after police spotted him driving a white Nissan Pathfinder and conducted a high-risk traffic stop at East Lincolnway and Maxwell Avenue.

Police say Meadows had an active warrant out of Laramie County Circuit Court for aggravated assault and battery - threatens to use a drawn deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and misdemeanor criminal trespass.

Judge Sean C. Chambers signed the warrant on Sept. 3, 2024.

Meadows was removed from the SUV, arrested, and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked on his warrant without further incident.

Meadows Bonds Out of Jail

The following morning, Meadows was seen in Circuit Court on the charges.

His bond was set at $10,000 at 10%, and he posted it following court.

Meadows is scheduled to be back in Circuit Court for his preliminary hearing on Wednesday, March 5, at 1:30 p.m.
