A 21-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after reportedly threatening his grandfather with a gun.

According to a booking sheet, on Thursday, April 17, at 8:18 p.m., police were called to an address in Cheyenne for a report of a fight with a gun which had been fired.

Argument Leads to Gunfire

Police say they contacted Blaine Jonathan Anderson's brother, who told them that Anderson was in an argument with their grandfather.

The argument reportedly became physical, and Anderson drew a gun during the altercation. The gun was reportedly placed on the ground, the grandfather left, and Anderson grabbed the gun, loaded it, and shot if off towards a roadway.

Police say they found a casing at the scene.

Anderson Arrested, Charged With Aggravated Assault

Anderson was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery - threatens to use a drawn deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Bond Set at $5K at 10%

Anderson made his initial appearance in Larmie County Circuit Court the following afternoon, April 18, during which his bond was set at $5,000 at 10% and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Friday, May 2, at 9 a.m.
