Cheyenne Man Gets 13 Years for Trying to Buy Sex From 14-Year-Old
A 29-year-old Cheyenne man has been sentenced to 13 years in federal prison for attempting to entice a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, the United States Attorney's Office announced Monday.
Undercover Online Investigation
According to court documents, on Oct. 4, 2024, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) conducted an undercover online investigation by posting an ad on a website selling sexual services with a young female.

"(Kodey Dean Lamont) interacted with the ad and was told the female was 14," USAO spokeswoman Lori Hogan said in a press release. "He expressed his desire to pay to have sexual intercourse with the minor."
"(Lamont) negotiated paying less if he brought methamphetamine to get the minor high before the sexual intercourse," she added. "(He) also expressed his desire to record the intercourse."
Lamont then reportedly traveled to a predetermined location to meet up with who he thought would be the 14-year-old and was arrested.
Lamont was indicted on Nov. 20, 2024, pleaded guilty on Jan. 16, and U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson imposed the sentence on April 8 in Cheyenne.
$6K Restitution
In addition to the 13-year sentence, Johnson also ordered Lamont to pay $6,000 in restitution and a $100 special assessment.
Lamont will be subject to five years of supervised release once he's released from prison.
