Wanted Cheyenne Man Busted for Drugs on Way Home From Dinner
A traffic stop in southeast Cheyenne led to the arrest of a wanted Cheyenne man and the discovery of drugs, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.
No License Plate Lamps
According to a booking sheet, 63-year-old John Robert Martin was arrested at 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, after a trooper stopped the silver Cadillac Seville he was riding in near Campstool Road and Hutchins Drive for no license plate lamps.

The trooper says Martin told him that the car belonged to him and that he had just purchased it the day before and that was why there was a title in the rear window.
The trooper invited the driver back to his patrol car, who reportedly told him that she had known Martin for a while, but had only recently been visiting him for approximately six months,
She said they were headed home after having dinner at T-Joe's.
Felony Warrant
When the trooper ran Martin's information, he discovered that Martin had an extraditable warrant out of Oshkosh, Nebraska for felony possession of amphetamines, intent to deliver, and possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony.
The trooper says the driver told him that she only had her white purse in the car and she consensually emptied her pockets.
The trooper then removed Martin from the car, handcuffed and searched him, and after finding nothing of interest, placed him in the cage of his patrol car.
Methamphetamine and THC Wax
When the trooper searched the car, he reportedly found a red glasses case containing several dime baggies of crystal methamphetamine, a glass methamphetamine pipe, and a blue melted straw in the glove box.
He also reportedly found a small circular rubber container containing THC wax and a rubber pipe containing burned marijuana in a black bag on the passenger floorboard.
The trooper says the methamphetamine weighed approximately nine grams with packaging and the THC wax weighed approximately three grams with packaging.
Martin allowed the driver to take possession of his car and she was released, and he was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked without incident.
Martin was subsequently charged with felony and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
Bond Set at $7,500 Cash
Martin made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Tuesday, Feb. 25, during which his bond was set at $7,500 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 9 a.m.
Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
