Laramie County District Court Judge Nathaniel S. Hibben on Monday, June 16, sentenced 60-year-old David Clark Jones to four to seven years imposed.

Case Background
According to a booking sheet, Jones was stopped at West Lincolnway and Capitol Avenue around 12:03 a.m. on July 29, 2024, after a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper spotted him driving with his right brake light out and failing to use his turn signal until he was halfway through an intersection.
The trooper says when he requested Jones' driver's license and vehicle information, he "smelled the strong odor of a flavored alcoholic beverage coming from the open window."
He says Jones' eyes were bloodshot and his speech was slurred, and once Jones was inside his patrol vehicle, he confirmed the odor of alcohol to be on Jones' breath.
Jones reportedly agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and admitted to drinking three alcoholic beverages, and once the tests were complete, agreed that he shouldn't be driving.
Jones was placed under arrest for DUI and reportedly agreed to a chemical breath test, which was conducted at 1:08 a.m.
His first breath sample reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration of .093% and his second sample showed a BAC of .100%.
When the trooper checked Jones' driver's license, he discovered that Jones had three other DUI convictions, one in August 2016, one in August 2017, and one in May 2018.
Jones was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with fourth offense DUI, a felony.
