According to WalletHub's 2021 Best States For Millennials report, Colorado beats out most of the country, landing in the top ten. Our neighbors an hour north, on the other hand, did not make it quite as far up the list.

Colorado was ranked the seventh best state in the country for us avocado-toast-loving, skinny-jean-wearing, side-parted millennials. WalletHub determined the best and worst states for 'mid-20-to-early-40-somethings who are often depicted through negative stereotypes — entitled, parentally dependent, emotionally fragile' (ouch) by using the following key metrics: affordability, education and health quality of life, economic health and civic engagement.

Colorado also was found to have the third-highest percentage of millennials (that's people born between 1981 and 1996) compared to other states in the U.S., so that's a lot of people who should not be attempting that TikTok trend.

Colorado reportedly has a higher millennial depression rate than most other states, and unfortunately, also ranked 48th (!) in the country in terms of affordable housing for millennials, which to be honest, you didn't need to tell me.

To the north in Wyoming, homes are more affordable, but the millennials just aren't flocking up I-25 (not enough avocado toast, not enough legal weed). While Wyoming ranked 29th in affordability for people currently between the ages of 25 and 40, overall, it ranked 37th out of 50. Where can you really get the most bang for your buck? Iowa, North Dakota, West Virginia, Ohio and Indiana.
