Cheyenne’s Historic Morris House Officially Reopens
One of Cheyenne's most historic buildings has reopened. Esther's at the Morris House officially unveiled their Facebook page this week and is now accepting reservations for private events and holiday parties. The owners of the popular downtown pizzeria Bella Fuoco recently purchased the property at 2114 Warren Avenue where woman's suffrage pioneer Esther Hobart Morris lived in 1890.
The home had been vacant since the Morris House Bistro closed in December 2016 after five years as an upscale eatery. Bella Fuoco began as a food truck in 2013. In 2016, owners John and Maria Kopper bought and restored another historic home across the street from the Morris House at 2115 Warren Avenue. The pizza and wine bistro opened in January 2017, only a month after the Morris House Bistro closed, and has quickly become one of downtown Cheyenne's most popular restaurants.
For now, Esther's will be reserved for private parties. The Koppers have yet to reveal a grand opening date for the restaurant, but their Facebook page is teasing an announcement "soon".
