Cheyenne Woman Identified as Victim in Homicide Investigation
The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation has identified the woman who was found dead south of Cody on Saturday.
Angela Elizondo, 40, was a Cheyenne resident. The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation believes a 45-year-old Cheyenne man killed her in the state's capital city before driving to Park County and dumping her body west of Highway 120.
The suspect's name is being withheld pending formal charges.
A hunter found Elizondo's body on private land shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday. The Park County Sheriff's Office asked DCI agents to assist with the investigation; officers later located the suspect and arrested him on unrelated charges.
