The Larimer County Sheriff's Office is looking into the deaths of two people in Pinewood Springs whose bodies were discovered earlier this week..

That's according to a post on the agency's Facebook page.

According to the post, at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 9, deputies got a call on two bodies. According to the post, someone had gone to visit a home on Deer Lane in Pinewood Springs and found two adults dead inside.

Crime scene investigators rushed to the scene, finding several weapons in the home, but no living people.

One Death Believed To Be A Homicide, The Other A Suicide

According to the post "The Larimer County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy and determined that both people died from gunshot injuries. They ruled that the 65-year-old woman’s manner of death was homicide. The 64-year-old man’s manner of death was suicide. The Coroner’s Office will release their names at a later time.:

Investigators are still trying to sort out exactly what happened, but the post says they don't think there is any public safety threat to the community. Anyone who might have information and who has not already spoken to law enforcement is being asked to call LCSO Investigator Marcus Simelane at 970-498-5515.

“This kind of sudden and tragic loss of life leaves a lasting impact on families, friends, and the surrounding community,” said Investigations Captain Bobby Moll. “As our investigators work to find out what happened, our Victim Response Team and Chaplains will continue offering support to those directly affected.”
