Felony Theft and Drug Possession Land Woman in Hot Water
A 28-year-old transient is facing felony charges after allegedly committing theft and getting caught with drugs.
According to a booking sheet, Ariel Adrian Philippi was arrested at the Best Western Plus Frontier Inn at 8101 Hutchins Dr. at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, after police caught her with methamphetamine and fentanyl.

It's also alleged that on or about Friday, Oct. 17, Philippi stole more than $1,000 worth of property from a person.
Philippi was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with felony theft, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both; felony possession of methamphetamine, a crime punishable by up to seven years in prison, up to a $15,000 fine, or both; and misdemeanor possession of fentanyl, a crime punishable by up to a year in jail, up to a $1,000 fine, or both.
Initial Court Appearance
On Tuesday, Oct. 21, Philippi was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge Antoinette Williams on the charges.
Williams appointed Philippi a public defender and her preliminary hearing was set for Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 2:15 p.m.
Williams then asked for the state's position regarding bond.
"The state would be recommending a $7,500 cash bond," the state said. "Ms. Philippi does not have strong ties to the community. This is felony allegations, and I think combined with her criminal history that that bond is appropriate."
Bond Set at $7.5K Cash
Philippi asked Williams for a lower bond, saying she needed to check on her new dog, but Williams said, "No. Your bond is $7,500 cash."
Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
