Cheyenne Police Looking for Driver Involved in Hit-and-Run
Cheyenne police are asking for the public's help in identifying a car involved in a hit-and-run that sent a Cheyenne man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The hit-and-run happened around 5:50 p.m. on Jan. 4 at the intersection of Hot Springs Avenue and E. Lincolnway.
Officer Kevin Malatesta says the victim was pushing his bicycle through the intersection when a silver sedan headed west on E. Lincolnway hit him.
"(He) entered the intersection on a red light ... so (he) actually did not have the right-of-way," said Malatesta. "The (driver) that struck (him) though didn't stop and just left the scene."
Malatesta says the victim is expected to make a full recovery.
He's asking anyone who recognizes the car or knows anything about the driver to call Crime Stoppers Silent Witness at (307) 638-TIPS.
