Cheyenne Police Holding Meeting on Critical Parking Zones
Cheyenne police are hosting a meeting this Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. to gather input from those who use critical parking zones around the hospital and state capitol.
Officer Kevin Malatesta says residential permit holders can currently park in the area, but others are limited to two-hour parking.
"We want to know if people want to see times changed, how they feel about parking in general, questions they have, concerns about it, any confusion that they have that we can help to sort out," said Malatesta.
"As we go forward and look at doing this on-street parking, we just want to make sure that we're taking all of that criticism and (those) ideas into account," he added.
Those who are unable to attend Wednesday night's meeting, but would like their comments heard, are asked to contact Ted Miazga at Tmiazga@cheyennepd.org.
Malatesta says police will also be holding a meeting on Feb. 20 to take comment on downtown parking.
