Heavy mountain snow combined with wind gusts as high as 60 mph could make travel "very difficult" in southeast Wyoming Friday and Saturday, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne says.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the Sierra Madre Range and a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Snowy Range.

The warnings are in effect from 6 a.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday, and call for 8 to 14 inches of snow in the Sierra Madres, 6 to 12 inches of snow in the Snowies, and wind gusts as high as 60 mph.

"Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility," the NWS said.
