The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says that while southeast Wyoming can expect somewhat warmer and drier weather today (June 19), the overall pattern of cool, wet weather will take hold again towards the weekend.

The agency published this statement on its website on Tuesday evening:

''9 PM June 18 Update: The active, wet pattern continues. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will be with us through this weekend as several disturbances pass across the area. Most of the activity is expected in the afternoons and evenings with more isolated showers at other times. The threat for severe storms is low for the period. Temperatures will be cooler as we move into the weekend.''
