Cheyenne National Weather Service Issues Weather Statement
The Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service on Saturday morning updated the information on a winter storm that has rocked Wyoming as well as the Nebraska Panhandle.
The statement is as follows:
- Widespread accumulating snow will persist through late this evening.
- Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect along I-80 from Elk Mountain to Kimball, as well as Saratoga and the western mountains. Winter Weather Advisories are also in effect until 11 PM MST this evening for adjacent areas.
- Travel impacts are expected through early Sunday.
- Very cold temperatures are still expected for Sunday/Monday with a high risk for frost bite and cold related injuries.
