Cheyenne Man Out on Bond After Sending Girlfriend to Hospital
A 27-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly strangling and hitting his girlfriend, sending her to the hospital.
According to a booking sheet, police were called to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center shortly before 10 o'clock yesterday morning, Oct. 23, in reference to a prior physical domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, police contacted Taylor P. Girone's girlfriend of four years, who lives with Girone and has a child with him.
Police say the female told them that she was in a physical altercation with Girone, during which he came from behind and strangled her by putting his right arm around her neck using his biceps and forearm to apply pressure to her neck, making it difficult for her to breathe.
Girone then reportedly picked her up and slammed her to the ground where he hit her several more times.
Police say the female had bruises on her body which she said were from the altercation.
Girone was subsequently arrested and charged with domestic battery and strangulation.
He's currently out of jail on a $2,000 cash bond and is scheduled to be back in Laramie County Circuit Court next Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m. for a preliminary hearing.
