Cheyenne Man Facing Sex Abuse Charges
A Cheyenne man awaiting sentencing on a felony DUI charge could face an additional 35 years in prison after allegedly sexual abusing a 13-year-old girl.
Thirty-seven-year-old Brandon A. Lewis made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court this (Tuesday) morning.
Lewis is charged with second-degree sexual abuse of a minor and third-degree sexual abuse of a minor. The alleged sexual abuse occurred between Feb. and May.
"I'm innocent," Lewis told Judge Thomas Lee. "I'm ready to go to trial."
Lee appointed Lewis an attorney and set his bond at $10,000 cash. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 10 at 1:30 p.m.
Lewis is also facing up to seven years in prison after pleading guilty on Nov. 30 to his fourth DUI. Court records indicate Lewis had prior DUI convictions in July 2017, March 2013 and Dec. 2010.
