A 22-year-old Cheyenne man could face up to 20 years in prison after allegedly threatening to stab his dad and trashing his mom's vehicles.

According to court documents, Alejandro "Alex" Jaramillo, Jr. reportedly got into an argument with his parents around 8:30 p.m. on July 17.

Jaramillo's dad reportedly told police that Alex grabbed a large kitchen knife, raised it above his head and made motions like he was going to stab him.

An affidavit says Alex's parents made him leave the house, but didn't call the police because they thought the situation was resolved.

Around 1:40 a.m. the next day, Jaramillo's mom called 911 to report that Alex was throwing rocks at her vehicles.

Police arrived to find the windshields on a Corvette and BMW had been broken. The driver's window on the BMW was also broken and there was a large dent near the door handle.

A K9 found Jaramillo, who had fled the area, in a nearby alley and he was arrested.

Jaramillo has been charged with aggravated assault and felony property destruction.

Jaramillo is currently being held in the Laramie County Jail on $5,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 27 at 10 a.m.
