Cheyenne Man Accused of Strangling Wife, Sending Her to Hospital
A 34-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly strangling his wife and sending her to the hospital.
According to a booking sheet, police were called to a physical domestic disturbance around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.
They arrived to learn that David Lee Broderick had reportedly strangled his wife with his hands after getting into an argument with her.

Police say Broderick's wife, who called them after Broderick left the apartment, told them she was unable to breathe and heard a pop in her neck, which caused her to urinate on herself.
Police say she had a small half-inch red scratch on the right side of her neck.
They also observed a pair of pajama shorts with a wet mark on the bedroom floor, which she said were the ones she had on when she wet herself.
Broderick's wife was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for further evaluation.
Broderick was arrested at the McDonald's at 410 S. Greeley Hwy. shortly before 1 o'clock the following morning, and reportedly told police that he and his wife had only gotten into a verbal argument.
Police say he told them that the red mark on his wife's neck was most likely from their rough intercourse, but he had no explanation for the soiled pair of pajama shorts on the bedroom floor.
Broderick was subsequently charged with strangulation and domestic battery-first offense.
He made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court Tuesday morning, during which his bond was set at $7,500 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for next Monday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m.
