Cheyenne Man Accused of Beating Wife with Baton Arrested
A 36-year-old Cheyenne man wanted for allegedly beating his wife with an expandable baton is now behind bars.
Police arrested Zachary Hernandez around 2 a.m. yesterday (Sunday) after he reportedly got into a fight at the Cadillac Ranch Bar and pulled a knife on the bouncers who threw him out.
"Hernandez was seen running from the area, but was apprehended a short time later by the responding CPD officers," said Lt. Don Hollingshead with the Laramie County Sheriff's Office.
Hernandez was wanted on a felony warrant for aggravated assault stemming from an April 2 incident in which he allegedly hit his wife in the face with an expandable baton and smashed her face into the dash.
Hernandez is scheduled to make his initial court appearance tomorrow (Tuesday) at 9:45 a.m.
