Cheyenne Event Aims to Recruit Women Into Law Enforcement [VIDEO]

The Cheyenne Police Department is encouraging women who are thinking about a career in law enforcement to attend a free seminar being put on by the FBI this Thursday.

Police spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says representatives from the FBI as well as local law enforcement agencies will be available to answer questions.

"There's a whole different variety of jobs and types of law enforcement that are out there and this is a really good opportunity to get some information and really learn more about the career,​" said Malatesta.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Clay Pathfinder Building at Laramie County Community College.
