The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has expanded the area covered by a Winter Weather Advisory to include Cheyenne.

The agency says the city could get as much as 7 inches of snow. That's according to a post on the agency's website:

Good Morning! Snow showers will be developing this morning and continuing through the late afternoon. Highest snow accumulations expected to be along the I-80 Corridor from Sidney to Cheyenne, where we have a Winter Weather Advisory in effect through 6PM Monday. Localized areas could see up to 6+ inches closest to the WY/CO state line. Travelers on Interstate 80 in this area can expect moderate snow, poor visibility and slick roads. Snow expected to taper off by the late afternoon.
